The Yamaha CLP-440 is designed to sound and feel like a grand piano.
Yamaha CLP-440
The Yamaha CLP-440 sounds just like the CFX Yamaha Concert Grand Piano because that's what you hear when playing the CLP-440. The CFX was carefully recorded in every detail and implemented into the technology of the Yamaha CLP-440 digital piano.
Yamaha CLP-440 Features:
Graded hammer action reproduces the feel of a grand piano. When pushing the key slowly down, you can feel the mechanisms that acoustic pianos have from the piano action. The graded hammer effect mimics the grand piano feel by having keys with more resistance in the base and gradually getting lighter as you reach the treble.
The key tops have the ivory feel to it with Yamaha's synthetic ivory keytops. The slightly porous surface gives additional grip and natural friction.
The acoustic system of the Yamaha CLP-440 produces clear and crips highs and full warm bass tones. The EQ can be adjusted without effecting the sound quality.
The piano pedals have grand piano functionality with the half-pedaling affect as well as ambience and nuances of damper and resonance sounds.
There are 4 kinds of reverb, five types of brilliance effects, 14 different high quality sounds, two track recording for up to ten songs, USB connectivity and 50 preset demo songs. Headphone jacks, MIDI in and out and a few other features are included in the Yamaha CLP-440.
